Ginger Juice, a two-ingredient, delightfully warming, and spicy concentrate, is an excellent food-based anti-inflammatory. As you might know, inflammation is a common denominator to most ailments, including infertility, endometriosis, adenomyosis, and painful periods. Ginger Juice can also be a perfect addition to any daily wellness routine and may really ramp up recovery if you’re feeling a little under the weather.
I love to add a tablespoon of this zingy drink to a glass of water, with freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a splash of apple cider vinegar. However, if that doesn’t tickle your taste buds, consider it in tea. Lastly, if you really want a pick me up, you can have it straight up! A little goes a long way. 🙂
Ginger Juice
Equipment
- High Powered Blender
- Fine-Mesh Strainer
- Jar with a lid (mason jars work great)
Ingredients
- 5-6 inch piece Ginger Root, organic
- 10 ounces Filtered Water
Instructions
- Break the ginger root into 1-2 inch pieces (no need to peel if organic)
- Add ginger root and water to a high powered blender
- Blend until smooth
- Pour into a mason jar through a fine-mesh strainer. You will need to press the juice through the strainer with the back of a spoon because it gets frothy and thick. Compost or store leftover pulp for another recipe.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Add 1 tsp – 2 TBS to water or tea 1-2x/day. Great with freshly squeezed lemon juice!
