Our environment is loaded with toxic chemicals, many of which are endocrine disruptors, that can alter fertility and hormonal health. Consider making your own DIY Household Cleaner!
Did you know there are currently no regulations requiring manufacturers to disclose or list all their ingredients on packages or online? We are in the dark regarding the safety of many products when labels are often purposefully vague and “greenwashed” to appear safer. The toxic chemicals found in conventional products tend to build up in our homes affecting indoor air quality and accumulating on surfaces in the dust, ultimately wreaking havoc on our health.

If a DIY Household Cleaner is not your thing, my current favorite all-purpose premade cleaner is called Branch Basics. This concentrate can be used to make:

- Foaming hand & body wash
- Laundry detergent
The Environmental Working Group Guide to Healthy Cleaning is an excellent way to sleuth other low toxin products. Look for an ‘A’ rating when choosing items on from the EWG site. Made Safe is similar to EWG, but with fewer search options.
